Program incentivized homeowners and businesses to build within the City by waiving and reducing building permit fees. The pilot program included building permit fee waivers of 100% for residential projects, a 25% reduction in commercial permit fees and a waiver of the Certificate of Occupancy fee for business owners applying for a certificate with no tenant improvements. This program also offered amnesty for any residential or commercial renovation, which had been completed without permits, by waiving any accrued penalties during the past six months.
